FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Whether you're stepping in front of the camera for the first time or elevating your image with a professional touch, here’s what you can expect to ensure a seamless and stylish experience:
Studio Sessions
1. Arrive Camera-Ready or Book Glam
You’re welcome to arrive ready to shoot, but if you’d like to book professional hair, makeup, or grooming, I can recommend trusted artists or arrange this for you in advance.
2. Studio Environment
Expect a clean, minimalist, and controlled space where lighting and backdrops are tailored to your vision. Whether we’re going for bold, editorial, or soft and natural—I've got it covered.
3. Posing & Direction
No modeling experience needed. I’ll guide you every step of the way, from posing to expression, so you feel confident and look your best.
4. Comfort & Flow
Music, refreshments, and a chill energy are part of the experience. The goal is to have you relaxed, present, and fully in your element.
Outdoor Sessions
1. Location Matters
We’ll select a location based on your aesthetic—urban, natural, romantic, or cinematic. I scout locations in advance to ensure lighting, access, and ambiance are ideal.
2. Timing is Key
Golden hour (early morning or late afternoon) is best for soft, flattering light. We'll plan accordingly to get the most stunning natural tones.
3. Weather Awareness
Outdoor sessions are weather-dependent. I’ll be monitoring the forecast closely and we’ll have a backup plan or reschedule option in place, just in case.
4. On-the-Go Comforts
Pack a few essentials: water, light makeup for touch-ups, flats or sneakers (if you're wearing heels), and a jacket depending on the season. I’ll handle the rest.
What should I wear?
Professional Headshots Wardrobe:
Wear business attire - think suit and tie - in professional colors like navy, grey, black, or tan. Women may wear professional t-shirts, or dress shirts with suit jackets. Men should wear a white or light blue dress shirt and complimentary tie. Please dress according to your industry standard.
Studio Wardrobe:
I suggest bringing 2–3 carefully curated looks based on the session you've booked. Think timeless, well-fitted, and expressive of your style or brand. A steamer, mirror, and dressing area will be available for quick changes in studio sessions.
Outdoors Wardrobe:
Dress for movement and comfort while keeping the environment in mind—heels in a field might not work, but flowing fabrics in the wind? Magic.
