Everything I Didn't Know I Needed

Starting and maintaining a business isn't easy. Any business owner will tell you that. Rolling off of what may have been my final IT project for some time, I went full fledge into working on WHRLDSTUDIO. I had already been doing private photoshoots and video sessions with different organizations.
This next go around I wast tapped by the M.C. Boat Experience crew (I've worked with them before) to join them for Soca Raff Up in Saint Lucia. On the way down to the Dennery country, I took a layover in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines. After landing at SVD airport with one of the crew members, we caught a taxi to Kingstown, stocked up on KFC, and the headed to the Kingstown Ferry Terminal.
A fleeting moment on the Bequia Fast Express Ferry made me realize that I was not on any ordinary trip. I stared into the horizon, my eyes scanning the ferry port of Kingstown, Saint Vincent as it became smaller and less visible the further away the ferry sailed. Just watching that moment made me calm as the hustle and bustle of NYC in mind faded to nothing.
Reaching Lower Bay in Bequia was a quick adventure. We checked into a beautiful Airbnb. I showered and fell asleep. I woke up the next morning energized. After having a mango, we headed to Lower Bay Beach to check out the scene. We decided to head over to Princess Margaret Beach. It was there where time slowed down immensely.
Frolicking, that's what I was doing. Without a care in the world, I went from sand to water to exploring a natural archway to jumping off said arch into the ocean. The breeze was calm. The sun was bright, but there was just enough cloud coverage making that moment all the more worth it. After a few hours, I felt that I was hungry again, so I went over Jack's Beach Bar where I enjoyed a delicious lunch and tropical beverage. I couldn't believe how relieved I felt in those hours on the beach. Seeing the sun lowering in the horizon, I decided it was time to head back to where I was staying. That deciding factor seemed to have changed the weather as rain began to pour on me while the sun was still shining. I was filled with gratitude.
Along the way, I stopped at another restaurant to have dinner (some type of fish) that lives in my head rent-free. I watched the sun set into the ocean and surprisingly, the Lower Bay Beach area had the most beautiful blue hour I've ever seen. I decided to stay and enjoy the moment before the sky turned pitch dark and the restaurant began to close. When I got back to the Airbnb, I took another shower. I could feel so much negative stressful weight from thoughts about life falling off me. That night, was probably the best sleep I've had since 2022. When I woke, the sun was shining and the weather was sweet. I took one last look at the area and the beach before heading back to Saint Vincent. My spirit was renewed and my thoughts were full of creativity. Bequia, seemed to be everything I didn't know I needed.
